A MAN has died after being hit by a train in Barnt Green station.
British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed they received a report of the incident at 11.16am this morning (Friday).
A spokesperson for BTP said officers were not treating the death as suspicious.
He also confirmed officers were working to establish the identity of the man.
The train involved was the 09.07am from Manchester Piccadilly to Bristol Temple Meads.
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attented the scene.
The incident has meant delays to services, going to and from Bromsgrove and Droitwich, as well as those going through Barnt Green and Alvechurch.
A notice on the London Midland website reads: "Owing to a person hit by a train at Barnt Green fewer trains are able to run on all lines.
"Services between Birmingham New Street and Hereford via Bromsgrove may be cancelled, delayed or diverted at short notice. Bromsgrove and University will not be served.
"An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.
"Mini-bus services are conveying passengers between Droitwich Spa and Longbridge, via Bromsgrove, in both directions until further notice.
"Arrangements have been made for London Midland rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."
