Inquest opened after man found by motorway bridge

AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a Bromsgrove man who was found by a motorway overbridge on Sunday (January 29).

The body of Colin Timothy Platten, 57, of High Meadow, Stoke Heath, was discovered on Grafton Lane at around 10.30pm.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said after conducting a search, following reports of a missing person earlier that evening, a man was found, along with his vehicle.

Officers confirmed him dead at the scene.

The hearing opened on Tuesday (January 31) and has been adjourned, awaiting reports.
