A BROMSGROVE man who has two brothers are in the army and will soon be joining himself is undertaking a gruelling 154-mile row in a canoe for a forces charity.
Benjamin Moody will start the Welshpool to Sharpness journey on Wednesday (February 1) in aid of Support Our Soldiers (SOS). It is expected to take the 26-year-old adventurer, climber and conoeist four days to complete.
Benjamin, soon to join the Royal Corps of Signals, will be supported by area co-ordinators from SOS.
His brothers Josh, 21, and Tom, 24, are both serving soldiers with the 2 Mercian Regiment - Josh is at the regimental base and Tom is presently deployed in Afghanistan.
Their father is an ex-Royal Engineer who served in the first Gulf War.
Bejamin is hoping residents will sponsor him and help him reach the £3,000 target he has set for himself.
