BROMSGROVE residents will be able to buy a variety of goods hand-made in the town at a special market showcase which is being held in the High Street next Saturday (November 19) to coincide with the lights switch-on.
Hand-made in Bromsgrove, which is the brainchild of events management company Blackberry Productions, will, with Christmas approaching, provide a platform for the town's small businesses and individuals with a chance to promote and sell their products.
From 9am to 4pm, there will be 18 stalls on the High Street, between the Post Office and Barclays Bank.
Goods will include jewellery, crafts, cakes and baking, artwork, pottery and children’s goods, all provided by local people.
There will also be information available on education and leisure classes.
Jackie Butler, director of Blackberry Productions, said: "There is a tremendous wealth of hidden local talent so we have created this event to celebrate the best in hand-made goods and highlight the skills, creativity and talent of individuals and companies within the Bromsgrove area”.
The event will be supporting Bromsgrove's Basement Project, which will also have a stall at the showcase and be selling tickets to its Christmas raffle. The Hand-made in Bromsgrove stallholders have generously contributed a range of products and offers to be included as prizes.
The showcase event is backed by The Standard, sponsored by LG Harris and Co Ltd and supported by Bromsgrove District Council.
