THE OWNER of a Catshill car dealership has appealed for information after his business was targeted four times in the last month.
David Healing spoke out as part of a police appeal for witnesses following the raids at Village Car Sales on Stourbridge Road.
Offenders have stolen parts and damaged cars at the business on four separate raids and Mr Healing said: “We have had to spend thousands of pounds on security measures and to pay for repairs to the damaged cars.
“I hope that someone will come forward with information that can help the police catch the people responsible,” he added.
The first incident happened between 6pm on September 24 and 10am on September 25 when raiders stole a catalytic
converter from a Kia Sedona and scratched the bonnets and paintwork of three other cars.
Offenders then stole five catalytic converters and numerous body parts from a Peugeot 206 between 5pm on October 3 and 9am on October 4.
On the third occasion, between 6pm on October 11 and 9am on October 12, the site office was broken into and the windscreens of three vehicles were also smashed.
The most recent incident happened between 6pm last Thursday (October 20) and 8.30am last Friday (October 21) when raiders smashed the windscreen and stole parts from a Citroen Picasso.
PC Glenn Rees said: “We are eager to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area around the time of any of these incidents or thinks they may know who the offenders are.
“We are looking into whether these incidents are linked and are asking anyone with information to call us as soon as possible. Even the smallest piece of information could make a difference to our investigation.
“Extra patrols are in place in the area and we will be offering security advice to the firm,” he added.
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Rees on 0300 333 3000.
